2011 NPA Grand National Pigeon Show - Pentax Give-A-WayAllen Weatherly and Pentax Camera Corporation have donated two prizes for the upcoming 2011 NPA Grand National in San Diego. The owner of the Champion Oriental Frill will receive a Pentax K110D Digital SLR Camera which retails for $599.95. The K110D is a 6.1 megapixel camera with advanced image processing technology, 11 point autofocus, ISO range 200 to 3200, multiply exposure modes, a 2.5 inch LCD monitor, and 16 segment multi-pattern metering. The K110D accepts KAF2 mount compatible lenses. The second donation is a Pentax K10D Digital SLR Camera retailing for $900.00 which will be raffled off to an exhibitor. For every 20 birds entered by an exhibitor, the exhibitor will receive one ticket for the Pentax D100 Camera raffle. The Pentax K10D is a 10.1 megapixel camera with shake reduction and is compatible with all Pentax lenses. It is weather resistant and incorporates a CCD Dust Removal system, 2.5 inch LCD monitor. Cash Awards Totaling $2,600 For San Diego National Mark Johnson of the San Diego Metro Pigeon Club announced at the August club meeting, he has pledges for $2,600 in cash for special awards at the up coming National. JEDDS PIGEON Supply will be awarding $500 for the Best Bird over all breeds in show. NPA President John Heppner will award $350 for the Reserve Champion of the show. Clarence Legg, Karen Fraire, Diane Jacky, Art Pamplona, Jerry & Sharon Holmberg, Mike & Sherry Owen, John DeCarlo Jr. and donors who choose to remain anonomous will give $250 each for the champion in seven different divisions that will be announced at entry time. Divisions will include birds of similar type. John DeCarlo Jr. will be announcing the breeds in each division after we see the entries come in. |
