Hosted by the San Diego Metropolitan Pigeon Club In cooperation of the Los Angeles Pigeon Club The show will be operating on a budget that is managed by the local, host club and dependent on funds generated by the event. Town & Country is a great partner and we will have the resort for several days, but this caliber of event takes on numerous expenses for facilities, materials, and labor. Our business plan allows us to have a conservatively smaller show with fewer birds exhibited, but that’s when sponsorship is key to carry us through. If we have a bigger show, excess funds go to SDMPC to ensure its future solvency and promote the hobby in years to come. What to expect To be honest, we expect a pretty big show. As you know, we’ve been promoting it since Jan.09 and we expect several hundred exhibitors around the country and 200 or more pigeon enthusiasts from Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia and Middle East. Double that number for guests, and let’s not forget the show is open to the public. The last California National show held in 2006 had 7,500 pigeons exhibited, with around 200 NPA-registered breeds. The majority of the people will be from other parts of California and the Southwest region. We also have the San Diego Visitors Bureau behind us to help promote. What we can offer We offer several methods to brand your company with this event. Depending on the size of sponsorship, we can provide:
We are looking for one or two VIP sponsors in the range of $2,500, and we also need smaller monetary or in-kind support. In-kind support needed includes: van(s) to shuttle birds and people for five days, raffle prizes/vacation packages, printing, large quantities of wood shavings, small drinking cups and pigeon feed, jumbo text or contractors brown heavy paper, data filing or direct mailing and security guards.
We’re limiting the sponsorship; make a commitment to
partner with us while the opportunity is there. Sponsorship
agreements available now thru Oct. 2010, or while there’s
availability. Final payment due by Oct. 31, 2010. |
